Kazar
IX/X Century
was discovered in a “kurgan” (a tumulus) into the Russian territory, Belgorod Region, Voloknovsky District, Stolbische farm in 1869, and is dated between the 9th / 10th century.

The question of the origin of the helmet remains enigmatic: it could have belonged to a nomad installed in Rus territory, or simply be a Rus production after rus conquest with nomadic influence, imitating the style of Central Asia, like the helmet of Gulbische or the Chernigov one. Similar examples are known in Sogdiane, but also in Iran for the same period.
The Rus invader figth against a Kazar Empire during the X century : during this period, a Kazar need to figth on all borders against Rus, Byzantine, Muslim or again Magyar. In one century the Kazar Empire will totally be conquest by they enemies.
